Recreational activities abound in and around Hernando County. Childrens activities include Dixie League Baseball, with it's new recreational complex, in the heart of Hernando County, Spring Hill. The complex features 6 ball feilds with all the trimmings, a concession stand, bleachers, and announcer booths. Soccor fields are under construction and should be completed by summer. |

Fishing, boating, scuba diving are abundant in our county, the Gulf of Mexico offers some of the finest fishing available. Hernando Beach is known for Tarpon fishing. |

Golfing is also a favorite pasttime for many of our residents. Hernando is blessed with several dozen Golf Courses, providing a variey if challenges for pros as well as novices. |

With the completion of the multi-million dollar Suncoast Expressway, Tampa is but a short, pleasurable drive from Hernando. Tampa has many, many amenities for young and old alike, theatres, museums, and concerts are but a few of the activities available. |
